Junior Architect

POSITION: Junior Architect QUALIFICATION: B ARCH EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1-2 years working QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution (Master’s degree preferred).
• 1-3 years of experience in architectural design and project development (internship experience may be considered).
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
• Strong design and visualization skills, including hand sketching and 3D modeling/rendering.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy in work.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
• Portfolio showcasing design projects and technical abilities is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Experience with sustainable design principles and LEED certification.
• Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) software.
• Experience working on a variety of project types, such as residential, commercial, and institutional.
• Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., American Institute of Architects).

• Assist in the design and development of architectural projects from concept through construction.
• Create conceptual drawings, renderings, and presentations to communicate design ideas.
• Collaborate with senior architects and other team members to develop design solutions that meet client needs and project requirements.
• Conduct research on materials, building codes, and zoning regulations to inform design decisions.
• Prepare and revise architectural drawings and documents using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project presentations as needed.
• Assist in preparing project proposals, contracts, and budgets.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors as required during the design and construction phases.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation according to company standards.
• Stay informed about current trends, technologies, and best practices in architecture and design.
